In the context of digital intelligence and China's aging population,the exploration of intelligent products in the home care environment is becoming increasingly in-depth.This article aims to explore the design principles and strategies of smart home products for the elderly from the perspective of design ethics.By using the methods of literature research and case study,combined with the theory of design alienation,this paper analyzes the problems existing in the current design concepts,design contents,and design methods of aging-friendly smart home products,and clarifies the design concept of"people-oriented benevolence,"with corresponding design principles proposed.Aiming at the physical function,psychological characteristics,and social cognition of the elderly population,balanced design principles and strategies based on Confucian benevolence as the core are proposed.Additionally,a design method model for age-friendly smart home products based on"people-oriented benevolence"is explored to prevent design alienation and effectively promote the harmonious design of aging-friendly smart home products.
