Traditional settlement is the vernacular carrier of Chinese excellent traditional culture,and its cultural symbols are the figurative presentation of abstract culture.With the gradual promotion of the rural revitalisation strategy,rural tourism is emerging,and B&Bs,as important functional buildings,play a pivotal role in modem tourism.This study takes the homogenisation phenomenon of domestic rural B&B space design as its problem orientation,deeply exploring the innovative application value and paths of traditional settlement cultural symbols in B&B space design.It analyses the intertextual relationship between traditional settlement cultural symbols and B&B space,and summarises innovative design strategies for B&B spaces through case studies,promoting the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional culture.
