Research on the Design of Age-Friendly Urban Bus Stops Based on Fuzzy Kano-TOPSIS
With public transportation gradually becoming one of the main modes of travel for the elderly, the design of urban bus stops to meet the needs of elderly users has received increasing attention. To address issues such as the vague user needs and poor riding experiences of elderly users at urban bus stops, and to consider the diversity of elderly users'needs and preferences in the design process, this study constructed a design path for age-friendly urban bus stops for in-depth exploration.Taking Taiyuan urban bus stops as an example, the study first obtained a large number of elderly users'demands through extensive research from multiple channels;secondly, the fuzzy Kano model was used to classify the demand attributes, clarifying the user needs that should be prioritized in the design scheme, and two design schemes for urban bus stops were developed accordingly. Finally, the age-friendly urban bus stops were evaluated based on TOPSIS to determine the optimal solution. The research demonstrates that the design path of age-friendly urban bus stops based on fuzzy Kano-TOPSIS is reliable, and it provides significant reference value for the development and optimization of such bus stop designs,as well as for other cities exploring age-friendly bus stop designs.
