Construction and Design Study of the Locality Evaluation System for Rural B&B:A Case Study of Liangping Wenjia Courtyard B&B
With the advancement of rural revitalization and cultural tourism, rural B&Bs have attracted considerable attention as significant platforms for regional economic and cultural exchange. However, current designs often suffer from homogenization, lacking locality and cultural distinctiveness, which limits their potential for cultural heritage preservation and community sustainability. This study aims to explore the process and methods for establishing a locality evaluation system for rural B&Bs in China. It systematically constructs the locality evaluation framework through frequency analysis of 25 cases, integrating Analytic Hierarchy Process,Quality Function Deployment, and TRIZ theory.Subsequently,Liangping Wenjia Courtyard B&B serves as a case study to apply this evaluation framework. Results indicate that rural B&B locality design in China should focus on four key aspects:"locality needs,""safety needs,""design needs,"and"social needs."This approach not only supports the preservation and transmission of local cultural heritage but also promotes rural economic development, aiding the goals of rural revitalization.
