Online Furniture Design and Its Cansumers' Visual Preferences Research
Furniture is essential for maintaining human life.Online furniture design significantly differs from traditional showroom displays,prompting a need to investigate online consumers'visual attention and behavioral patterns to ensure the designs are appealing and meet consumer needs.Market research identified the furniture design elements that online consumers focus on the most.Using furniture seats as the research medium,shape,color,and decorative patterns were studied.Single-element and dual-element tests were conducted on 22 participants using eye-tracking technology,followed by qualitative and quantitative analysis of online consumers'visual attention and behavior.The results indicate that individual design elements—shape,decorative pattern,and color—rarely elicit a complete emotional perception.Consumers who purchase furniture online prefer design elements featuring traditional shapes,modern minimalist patterns,and simple,elegant colors.This objective study on visual attention and behavioral characteristics provides valuable guidance for furniture design and online sales strategies.
