Analysis of the Shape and Aesthetic Characteristics of Ancient Piano Tables in Historical Evolution
The piano table,as a specialized piece of furniture for the guqin,is indispensable for performers to deliver beautiful melodies.Since ancient times, the piano table has been created for the guqin and has enhanced its elegance, enriching the artistic charm of guqin music. The piano table itself not only boasts an elegant and refined shape but also serves as a carrier of culture and art. However, compared to the extensive research on guqin, studies on piano tables are relatively scarce. To address this gap, this paper explores the cultural traces of ancient piano tables in historical evolution through textual analysis, ancient paintings, and physical artifacts.By employing historical document research, image analysis, physical comparison, and comprehensive investigation methods, this study systematically examines the origins and historical development of guqin and piano tables, summarizing their morphological evolution and aesthetic characteristics. It is hoped that this research will provide valuable insights for further studies on the cultural heritage of ancient Chinese piano tables and inspire contemporary design and cultural research.
