Under the development context of the"bamboo replacing plastic"industry, this study explores the application of the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(FAHP)to the sustainability assessment of children's bamboo-laminated furniture.A questionnaire survey was conducted to identify user needs, forming a hierarchical demand model.Addressing the limitations of traditional evaluation methods for children's furniture, this study integrates FAHP to construct a comprehensive assessment framework. The framework considers sustainability indicators across social, environmental, economic, and technical dimensions, assigning weights and fuzzy evaluation levels to each indicator. The results demonstrate that the FAHP-based framework provides a more precise evaluation of the sustainability performance of children's bamboo-laminated furniture. This research not only offers a novel approach for sustainability assessment but also provides theoretical and practical guidance for the application of bamboo in furniture design, contributing to the advancement of the"bamboo replacing plastic"initiative.
