Comparison and Enlightenment of the Current Situation of Furniture Design Research from the Perspective of Regional Differences——Hotspot and Frontier Analysis Based on Bibliometrics
To clarify the current state of domestic furniture design research and its differences from foreign research,a bibliometric analysis of Chinese and English literature in this field was conducted.The findings reveal that user-oriented demand,traditional culture,and the application of emerging technologies are current research hotspots.The study proposes user-oriented design methodologies,summarizes the application pathways of traditional culture in furniture design,and explores the comprehensive application of new materials and technologies in furniture design.Comparing with other countries,it is found that domestic furniture design research lacks sufficient exchanges with international organizations and exhibits uneven regional development.Additionally,domestic research is predominantly focused on light industry and handicrafts,with limited interdisciplinary collaboration.Accordingly,the study recommends enhancing international cooperation,fostering regional support,and conducting multidisciplinary collaborative research.
