A Study on Home Dxergame Design Driven by Continuance Intention
Home exergames have emerged as a popular and effective medium for fitness, attracting significant attention. This study explores the factors influencing users'continuance intention to use home exergames and the interrelations among these factors, providing theoretical guidance for their design and development. The research constructs a model of factors affecting the continuance intention of home exergames through a literature review, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The findings reveal that usefulness, functional quality, and ease of use are direct factors influencing users'continuance intention, while social interaction, technical quality, and playfulness act as indirect factors. This underscores the importance of emphasizing practical attributes in game design.Based on the findings, this study proposes design strategies to enhance continuance intention by incorporating features such as visual feedback on exercise data, accuracy monitoring of fitness movements, and intuitive user interfaces and operational processes. These strategies effectively promote sustained user engagement with home exergames.
