Objective To analyze the imaging findings and diagnostic value of magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI ) in mediastinal neurogenic tumors. Methods: From August 2020 to August 2021,40 patients with mediastinal neurogenic tumors diagnosed by pathological biopsy in our hospital were selected as the subjects of this study. The imaging findings of MRI were retrospectively analyzed to evaluate the diagnostic value of this examination method. Results: A total of 38 cases of mediastinal neurogenic tumors were diagnosed by MRI, including 17 cases of schwannoma, 10 cases of neurofibroma, 7 cases of ganglioma and 4 cases of paraganglioma. The diagnostic accuracy was 95.00 %, and 2 cases were not correctly diagnosed because of no obvious lesions. All types of mediastinal neurogenic tumors were mainly oval and round, with clear boundary, and T1WI showed uniform low signal, T2WI showed uneven high signal.Dynamic enhanced scan showed: neurilemmoma in the arterial phase showed mild patchy enhancement, venous phase and delayed phase uneven enhancement; neurofibroma showed continuous homogeneous enhancement in arterial phase, venous phase and delayed phase; gangliocytoma showed mild enhancement in arterial phase, mild or moderate enhancement in venous phase, and increased enhancement in delayed phase.Paraganglioma showed obvious uneven enhancement in arterial phase and low enhancement in venous phase and delayed phase. Conclusion: The MRI imaging findings of different types of mediastinal neurogenic tumors are characteristic, which is conducive to the correct diagnosis and treatment of patients.
