Abstract
Objective To explore and analyze the efficacy of levofloxacin combined with cefoperazone-sulbactam in the treatment of elderly patients with pneumonia and the effect on pulmonary function and adverse reactions.Methods: A total of 200 elderly pneumonia patients diagnosed and treated in our hospital from October 2020 to August 2022 were selected and randomly divided into the control group (treatment with cefoperazone-sulbactam, n=100 cases) and the study group (levofloxacin combined with cefoperazone).Sulbactam treatment, n=100 cases), the clinical efficacy of the two groups of elderly patients was compared, and the pulmonary function indexes and inflammatory factor indexes of the elderly patients before and after treatment were measured, and finally the adverse reactions of the elderly patients during the medication were observed.Results: The clinical efficacy rate of the elderly patients in the study group was 98.00％, which was higher than that in the control group, P＜0.05; and the FVC, FEV1, and PEF of the elderly patients in the research group after treatment were higher than those in the elderly patients in the control group after treatment, P＜0.05; The levels of CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 and PCT in the elderly patients in the group were lower than those in the elderly patients in the control group after treatment, P＜0.05; finally, in terms of adverse drug reactions, there was no significant difference between the two groups of elderly patients, P＞0.05.Conclusion: The combination of levofloxacin and cefoperazone-sulbactam in elderly patients with pneumonia has a reliable curative effect, can significantly improve the pulmonary ventilation function, and reduce the inflammatory reaction without significantly increasing the adverse drug reactions, which is worthy of promotion.
