Objective To compare the efficacy of nifedipine extended-release tablets and felodipine in the treatment of hypertension combined with diabetes mellitus.METHODS: One hundred patients with hypertension combined with diabetes mellitus admitted to our hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group (treated with nifedipine extended-release tablets) and an observation group (treated with felodipine) of 50 patients each. RESULTS: The treatment effect was better in the observation group, with more significant improvement in blood pressure level, blood glucose level, clinical symptoms, and quality of life (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The efficacy of felodipine in the treatment of hypertension combined with diabetes mellitus was more significant.
