Observation on therapeutic effect of appropriate techniques of traditional chinese medicine on elderly patients with essential hypertension in community
Objective To study the effect of appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine on elderly patients with essential hypertension (EH) in the community.Methods: 90 elderly EH patients admitted to our community hospital from August 2020 to June 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, 45 patients in each group.The control group was treated with conventional antihypertensive drugs, and the observation group was treated with appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine based on the treatment conditions of the control group.The efficacy of the two groups, changes in blood pressure indicators before and after treatment, medication methods and treatment costs were compared.Results: The total effective rate (95.56％) of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (82.22％), with a significant difference (P＜0.05).After treatment, the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with a significant difference (P＜0.05).The way of medication in the observation group was better than that in the control group, and the cost of treatment was lower than that in the control group, with a significant difference (P＜0.05).Conclusion: Appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine can improve the therapeutic effect of elderly EH patients in the community, strengthen the stable control of their blood pressure level, and also have a good help to change the way of drug use of patients and reduce the cost of treatment.
