Objective To study the effect of shortened anterior migration of levator muscle of upper eyelid in patients with ptosis. Methods: Data were collected from 92 cases of ptosis patients admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to August 2022, and were divided into the basic group (shortening of levator muscle of upper eyelid) and the improved group (improved shortening of levator muscle of upper eyelid) with 46 cases in each group by "randomization method". The efficacy of the two groups was compared. Results: Compared with the basic group, the SF-36 score of the improved group was higher after operation. 1 month and 6 months after surgery, the improved group had lower upper eyelid regression and higher frontal muscle strength score than the basic group. Compared with the basic group, the improved group had a higher number of blink and a lower number of incomplete eyelid 1 and 10 days after surgery. The effective rate of correction in the improved group (97.83%) was higher than that in the basic group (86.96%), P<0.05(statistically significant). Conclusion: Modified levator muscle of upper eyelid shortening in the treatment of ptosis can improve life and eyelid conditions, reduce blink and eyelid insufficiency, and improve the correction effect, which is worthy of respect.
