Objective To explore and analyze the application effect of targeted nursing intervention in elderly patients with atomized inhalation. Methods: 70 elderly patients with respiratory diseases who received aerosol inhalation treatment from September 2020 to September 2022 in our hospital were selected for this study. And the computer table method was used to study it,which was divided into the research group and the control group, with 35 patients in each group. The elderly patients in the research group took targeted nursing intervention mode, while the elderly patients in the control group took conventional nursing intervention mode. Results: The total compliance rate of atomized inhalation in the elderly patients in the study group (91.43%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (68.57%). The treatment of atomized inhalation in the elderly patients in the study group, mainly including adherence to atomization (97.14%),correct use of physicochemical devices (94.29%),correct atomized inhalation (94.29%) and correct gargling (97.14%),was significantly better than that in the control group,The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of targeted nursing intervention in the atomization inhalation of elderly patients can significantly improve the treatment compliance of elderly patients with atomization inhalation, enable elderly patients to adhere to atomization and correct atomization, and effectively improve the treatment effect of elderly patients with atomization inhalation, which has important application significance and is worth popularizing in the current clinical application.
