Objective To evaluate the clinical value of serum PCT, CRP and WBC in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) complicated with pulmonary infection. Methods: From August 2018 to August 2020, a total of 110 elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) received by our hospital in this area were taken as test subjects, and the serum PCT, CRP, WBC were detected and analyzed. Results: The levels of serum PCT, CRP and WBC in the observation group were the highest, followed by control group 1 and control group 2 (P<0.05). The positive rates of serum PCT, CRP and WBC in the observation group were the highest, followed by control group 1 and control group 2 (P<0.05). After treatment, the observation group showed that the systemic manifestations and clinical symptoms were significantly relieved, and the serum PCT, CRP, WBC levels were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion: The levels of serum PCT, CRP and WBC in elderly COPD patients with pulmonary infection are significantly different, which can be used as a reference for disease diagnosis.
