Objective To compare the effects of continuous epidural analgesia on the delivery process and delivery mode of parturients. Methods: 150 pregnant and lying in women admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the different anesthesia methods used for retrospective analysis. The pregnant women in the control group received routine nursing guidance and treatment of natural delivery. On this basis, the pregnant women in the observation group applied continuous epidural anesthesia for labor analgesia. Results: The time of the first, second and third stages of labor of the control group were (482.61±70.18) min,(77.36±13.05) min and (6.20±1.04) min respectively, and the corresponding data of the observation group with continuous epidural anesthesia for labor analgesia were (397.20±59.65) min, (51.59±11.27) min and (6.16±1.13) min respectively; The proportion of natural delivery, cesarean section and vaginal delivery in the control group who received routine nursing guidance and treatment of natural delivery were 45(60.00%),17(22.67%) and 13(17.33%) respectively, and the corresponding data of the observation group who applied continuous epidural anesthesia for labor analgesia were 37(49.33%),24(32.00%) and 14(18.67%) respectively; The incidence of adverse events in the control group was 9.33%,and the incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 8.00%;The incidence of adverse events in the control group was 8.00%, and the incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 2.67%.Conclusion: Continuous epidural anesthesia for labor analgesia can improve the natural delivery rate and promote the efficiency of labor progress.
