Objective To explore the effect of applying quality control circle to the quality management of nursing medical records of emergency trauma patients. Methods: From June 2021 to July 2022, the quality control circle (QC circle) was applied in the quality management of nursing records of emergency trauma patients in the emergency department of hospital, and 200 nursing records were selected as the research group. In addition, 200 nursing records of emergency trauma patients from April 2020 to May 2021 before the implementation of the QC circle activities were selected as the control group. The improvement of the quality of nursing records of emergency trauma patients and the work ability of emergency nursing staff before and after the implementation of the QC circle activities were compared, and then the patients'' nursing satisfaction was investigated. Results The grade A medical record rate of the research group was 96.00%, higher than that of the control group, while the grade B and grade C medical record rates of 12.00% and 4.00% respectively were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of medical record writing quality, application ability of quality control circle, management ability and coordination and communication ability of nursing staff in the research group were (91.42±8.96), (88.52±8.17), (89.53±8.87) and (84.64±7.62), respectively, which were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Besides, the nursing satisfaction of patients in the research group was 99.00%, higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: the application of qc activities in emergency trauma patients'' nursing medical record quality management can significantly improve the quality of medical record management, and promote the improvement of the ability of emergency department nursing staff, which in turn is conducive to the improvement of patient satisfaction, worthy of promotion.
