Objective To investigate and analyze the improvement of hearing level and immune function of patients with secretory otitis media by intratympanic injection of dexamethasone combined with ambroxol hydrochloride. Methods: From May 2020 to May 2022, 200 patients with secretory otitis media were randomly divided into control group (treated with intratympanic injection of dexamethasone, n=100 cases) and study group (treated with intratympanic injection of dexamethasone combined with ambroxol hydrochloride, n=100 cases). The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. The hearing level and immune function improvement before and after treatment were analyzed and compared. Results: The total effective rate of treatment in research group was 93.00％, which was higher than that in control group (P＜0.05). After treatment, the air-guided hearing levels of the patients in the study group at 500Hz, 1000Hz, and 2000Hz were (48.74±4.79), (53.36±5.41), and (63.43±7.35)dB, respectively, higher than those in the control group after treatment, respectively (P＜0.05). The levels of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in the research group after treatment were (45.62±5.29) and (1.93±0.27)％ respectively higher than those of the control group, while their CD8+ level was (24.21±2.16)％ lower than that of the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion: The intratympanic injection of dexamethasone combined with ambroxol hydrochloride in patients with secretory otitis media has reliable effect, and significantly improves the hearing level and immune function of patients, which is worthy of promotion.
