Objective To explore the effect of appropriate nursing techniques of traditional Chinese medicine on postoperative urinary retention in patients with anorectal diseases. Methods: 68 anorectal patients admitted in our hospital from October 2021 to February 2022 were taken as the basic research objects. They were randomly divided into the control group (n=34) and the observation group (n=34). The control group was intervened with routine basic nursing measures. The observation group was intervened through traditional Chinese medicine nursing, mainly comparing the postoperative nursing comfort, urinary tract infection rate, autonomous urination time and nursing effectiveness of the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of nursing in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.05); The urinary tract infection rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the urinary residual volume and the time of autonomous urination were significantly lower than those in the control group. The difference between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.05); The overall comfort rate of the observation group after nursing was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: For patients with urinary retention after anorectal surgery, intervention with the help of appropriate techniques of traditional Chinese medicine nursing can enable patients to complete their own urination as soon as possible, reduce the rate of urinary tract infection, and help to further improve nursing comfort. The clinical nursing value is significant, and it is worth promoting and applying vigorously.
