Objective To observe the efficacy of evidence-based nursing in the nursing care of pediatric cough variant asthma. METHODS: Sixtytwo children with chronic pediatric cough variant asthma admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to April 2021 were the subjects of this study, and the children were divided into a control group (31 cases: conventional care without evidence-based care) and an experimental group (31 cases: evidencebased care) according to whether evidence-based care was carried out. RESULTS: Children in the experimental group showed better compliance, respiratory function [partial pressure of oxygen (76.37±3.47)mmHg, partial pressure of carbon dioxide (47.15±4.26)mmHg], pulmonary function[volume of expiratory effort in one second (2573.22±23.15)mL, ratio of expiratory effort in the first second to all expiratory volumes (82.76±4.71)%] and 1-year follow-up. The clinical indicators such as recurrence rate were better than the control group, and the data were significantly different (P<0.05). Conclusion:Evidence-based care in the care of pediatric cough variant asthma has high clinical promotion value.
