Objective To explore the preventive effect of predictive nursing on adverse reactions in dwarfism challenge test. Methods: 100 children with dwarfism admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the subjects of this study. They were randomly divided into two groups: the observation group and the control group. Both groups were n=50, and the basic data of patients were comparable (P>0.05).The control group was given routine nursing care, while the observation group was given predictive nursing care. The adverse reactions of children in the two groups, their parents'' satisfaction with nursing care, the peak rate of growth hormone secretion at different times, and the pain scores at the time of blood collection and after the intravenous indwelling needle were compared. Results: The incidence of adverse reactions (syncope, hypotension, nausea and vomiting, hypoglycemia) in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05)..Conclusion: The application of predictive nursing in the dwarfism challenge test can effectively prevent all kinds of adverse reactions, reduce the degree of pain during blood collection and after the intravenous indwelling needle is retained, which has obtained the satisfactory approval of the parents of children, and is worth popularizing.
