Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical application of BRAFV600E mutation combined with ultrasound in papillary thyroid carcinoma ,and to analyze the correlation between BRAFV600E mutation and ultrasound characteristics in PTC.Methods By collecting 123 cases of PTC in the First People ''s Hospital of Xiangyang City, all of them were detected by PCR fluorescence BRAFV600E mutation and neck ultrasonography.The ultrasound characteristics between BRAFV600E mutation positive and BRAFV600E mutation negative groups were retrospectively compared and analyzed.Results In PTC, the BRAFV600E mutation positive rate was 73.17 ％ BRAFV600E mutation was associated with tumor diameter ( χ2=7.764, P<0.01 ), tumor morphology ( χ2=10.146, P<0.05 ) and cervical lymph node enlargement ( χ2=7.236, P<0.01 ).Conclusion BRAFV600E mutation is another important inducing factor for PTC in addition to radiation, iodine, heredity and lifestyle.BRAFV600 E mutation combined with ultrasound can better predict PTC tumor diameter, tumor diameter and cervical lymph node enlargement, and provide auxiliary basis for surgical selection, diagnosis and prognosis judgment in clinic.
