Objective To investigate the clinical effect of different diagnosis and treatment measures on the prognosis of children with cough variant asthma. Methods A total of 198 children with cough-variant asthma admitted to the Department of Pediatrics of our hospital from January 2021 to September 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into control group (99 cases) (atomized budesonide inhalation) and observation group (99 cases) (atomized budesonide inhalation combined with Montelukast sodium). Results There were no significant differences in the levels of pulmonary function indexes and inflammatory factors between the two groups before treatment (p>0.05).However, after receiving different treatment plans, the lung function indexes and inflammatory factors in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (p<0.05), and the total effective rate was significantly higher than that in the control group. The incidence and recurrence rate of adverse reactions were significantly lower than those of control group (p<0.05).Conclusion In order to significantly improve the clinical symptoms of children with cough variant asthma and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, aerosol inhalation of budesonide combined with montelukast sodium treatment is required.
