Research on the application effect and impact on compliance of nursing interventions based on safety goals in patients undergoing head and neck radiotherapy
Objective To explore the application effect of safety goal-based nursing intervention in patients with head and neck radiotherapy and its impact on compliance. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with head and neck radiotherapy who were admitted to our hospital from May 2019 to May 2021 were collected for retrospective analysis, and the patients were included in the observation group (n=48) and reference group (n=48).The reference group carried out routine nursing intervention in the radiotherapy department, and the observation group carried out nursing intervention based on safety goals on the basis of the reference group. The incidence of radiotherapy-related complications and radiotherapy compliance were compared between the two groups; the quality of life measurement scale of cancer patients before and after nursing was compared between the two groups.(FACT-G) score. Results The incidence of complications in the observation group was 8.33%, which was lower than that in the reference group (27.08%), and the radiotherapy compliance was 95.83%, which was higher than that in the reference group (83.33%)..After nursing, the FACT-G scores in the observation group were higher than those in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions Nursing intervention based on safety goals in head and neck radiotherapy can prevent complications, help improve patients'' compliance with radiotherapy and improve their quality of life.
