Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) in the treatment of gastrointestinal polyps. Methods: A total of 85 patients with gastrointestinal polyps admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to December 2022 were divided into the control group (43 cases, endoscopic high-frequency electrocoagulation resection) and the observation group (42 cases, endoscopic mucosal resection) according to the random number method. The perioperative related indicators, inflammatory response and safety between the differential treatment groups were recorded and evaluated. Results: After the intervention of differential treatment plan, the observation group had significantly shorter postoperative feeding time, operation time, polypectomy time, and hospitalization time than the control group, and the amount of bleeding was significantly less than the control group (P<0.05).The levels of IL and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the PCT in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).The complications in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion: Endoscopic mucosal resection in the treatment of gastrointestinal polyps is effective, safe, and has less inflammatory reaction, which is worthy of promotion.
