Objective To investigate transurethral Raykeen holmium laser enucleation of prostate (Holep) in the treatment of small volume benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods: The clinical data of 133 patients with small volume BPH who received Holep in our hospital from September 2020 to September 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: All the 133 patients in this group successfully completed the operation. The statistical analysis of the postoperative condition showed that 29 patients were complicated with prostate calcification. The mean operation time was (27.83±4.03)min. No blood transfusion was needed during perioperative period, no complications such as transurethral resection syndrome or venous thromboembolism occurred, and no bladder neck contracture or bladder stone recurrence occurred after the operation. However, there were 2 cases of postoperative urethral stricture, accounting for 1.5%, and 27 cases of postoperative transient urinary incontinence, with a probability of 20.5%. Conclusions: Holep can significantly improve the symptoms and living conditions of the lower urinary tract in patients with small volume BPH, significantly reduce the occurrence of urinary tract stricture, urinary incontinence and other complications, and the success rate of surgery is high, and can also be carried out during the bladder stone lithotripsy operation, worthy of promotion in long-term clinical treatment.
