Objective To investigate the effect of surgical treatment of recurrent inguinal hernia with TAPP. METHODS: One hundred patients with recurrent inguinal hernia admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected and divided into 50 each in the observation group and control group using the random number table method, with the former treated with TAPP surgery and the latter treated with TEP. RESULTS: The observation group had lower complications, better intraoperative condition, and shorter hospital stay (P<0.05); after treatment, the pain symptom scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the quality of life improved more significantly (P<0.05). Conclusion: The effect of TAPP surgery for recurrent inguinal hernia is very significant and can achieve more ideal treatment results.
