Objective To study and analyze the effect of preconception eugenic genetic counseling in eugenics. Methods: A total of 262 groups of couples admitted to our hospital for eugenic counseling from June 2019 to May 2020 were selected for the study, and preconception eugenic genetic counseling and conventional preconception guidance were performed to compare the application effects of the two groups. RESULTS: Compared to the control group, the study group had significantly better natural delivery, general condition of the newborn, and satisfaction indicators of the counseling. The difference between the groups was significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Preconception eugenic genetic counseling can ensure better implementation of eugenic goals, smooth maternal delivery, good general condition of newborns, and more satisfaction with the counseling.
