Objective To analyze the effect of combined treatment of Clomiphene citrate capsules and metformin hydrochloride tablets in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods: A total of 86 patients receiving PCOS treatment in our hospital from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected as basic research data and divided into two groups by random drawing [combination group (n=43) and single drug group (n=43)].The single drug group was treated with Clomiphene citrate capsule.Combined group was treated with metformin hydrochloride tablets on the basis of single drug group, and the clinical effects, sex hormone levels and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate of combination group was significantly higher than that of monotherapy group (P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistical significance in sex hormone levels between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, sex hormone levels in both groups were improved, but the improvement effect in the combined group was more significant (P<0.05).Compared with single drug group, the total incidence of adverse reactions in combination group was significantly higher than that in single drug group (P<0.05).Conclusions: The combination of Clomiphene citrate capsules and metformin hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome has better effect, promotes the recovery of sex hormone levels, has fewer adverse reactions and high safety factor, and is worthy of clinical recommendation.
