Objective To explore the effect of health education intervention in perinatal health care on the quality of obstetrics and the quality of life of pregnant women in clinical childbirth. Methods: A total of 120 pregnant women from January 2022 to January 2023 were included and divided into observation group (n=60) and control group (n=60) by random number table. The control group received routine health education, while the observation group received perinatal health education based on routine health education. The obstetrical quality (labor time), maternal and infant outcomes, and maternal life quality of the two groups were compared. Results: The duration of the first, second and third stage of labor in observation group was shorter than that in control group (P<0.05).The incidence of maternal and infant complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group in caesarean section, pregnancy complicated diseases, postpartum hemorrhage, intrauterine distress, neonatal infection (P<0.05). The life quality score of observation group was higher than that of control group (P<0.05).Conclusion: Health education guidance in perinatal health care is helpful to shorten the time of labor, improve the quality of obstetrics, improve maternal and infant outcomes and improve the quality of life of pregnant and pregnant women.
