It was clear that the fat mass and obesity associated (FTO) gene is strongly associated with obesity and body mass index (BMI). .The study aimed to investigate the FTO gene was strongly relation with obesity via changing feeding behavior ( such as decrease in the taste and olfactory capacity). As more and more experiments are carried out, relationships can be found beside than FTO genes and obesity. Here we review these recent findings and discuss their implications to explain we thoughts. We propose several alternative hypotheses for how these new observations might be integrated into a revised view on obesity.
