Discussion on the geological features and prospecting prospect of calcite deposit in northwest Guizhou
In this paper,the geological,petrological and element geochemical characteristics of calcite deposit are studied to analyze its prospecting prospect in northwest Guizhou.There are 18 ore bodies of different sizes distributed in 3 deposits.The ore is mainly composed of calcite minerals and contains a small amount of dolomite and fluorite.It has an idiomorphic and semi-idiomorphic structure,massive,vein-like and reticular structure,and has a sudden contact relationship with the surrounding rock.The content of calcium is the main element,followed by Mg,Si,Fe,and Al,with a low whiteness val-ue.The ore bodies is strictly controlled by NE and NNE trending structure and is the main ore-controlling structure,and mainly occur in the Permian Qixia and Maokou Formations and have stratified characteristics.By analogy,it is concluded that the area of Hezhang Shuangping Township,Shuitang,Magu and Weining Yancang have better prospecting prospects for calcite deposit.
