Zircon U-Pb age and petrogeochemical characteristics of granite porphyry in Fengshou Village, central Jilin Province
In this paper, taking the granite porphyry in Fengshou Village, central Jilin Province as an object, the LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating and petrogeochemistry are studied. The 206Pb/238 U weighted mean age of zircon from granite porphyry magma is(175.7±0.9)Ma,indicating its formation during the Early Jurassic. The granite porphyry has a SiO2 mass fraction of 72.16%to 73.50%,a total alkali(Na2O+K2O)mass fraction of 8.36%to 8.58%,an Al2O3 mass fraction of 13.96%to 14.32%,a Fe2OT3 mass fraction of 2.37%to 2.58%,and a TiO2 mass fraction of 0.22%to 0.41%.Geochemical characteris-tics show that the granite porphyry in Fengshou Village is rich in silicon and poor in magnesium and calcium, belonging to a weakly peraluminous,high-potassium calc-alkaline series. The granite porphyry is enriched in light rare earth elements, with significant fractionation between light and heavy rare earth elements. It also exhibits enrichment in large ion lithophile elements(Rb,U,Th)and depletion in high field strength elements(Nb,Ta),which indicates that the granite porphyry in Fengshou Village is a highly differentiated Ⅰ-type granite. The magma of the granite porphyry in Fengshou Village likely originated from an intermediate-basic lower crust and formed in a tectonic setting related to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate beneath the Eurasian Plate.
