The Xuyangtun gold deposit belongs to a medium low temperature metamorphic hydrothermal deposit,and the ore is mainly composed of gold-bearing quartz veins type and gold-bearing altered rock type.The deposit is small in scale and located on the eastern section of the northern margin of North China Plate's polymetallic metallogenic belt.Ore-forming hydrothermal fluids ascended along northeast-trending compression and torsional faults,exhibiting multi-stages pulsating formation characteristics.The ore deposits and bodies are mostly found in metamorphic rocks of the Archean Laoniugou For-mation.The ore body is mainly controlled by silicified alteration bodies and northeast-oriented compressional and torsional structures.There is significant exploration potential exists in the peripheral and deeper parts of this deposit.
