Finite element analysis of flexural behavior of ultra-high performance concrete beams reinforced with FRP bars and steel bars
The effects of reinforcement ratio, equivalent reinforcement ratio of hybrid reinforcement,FRP reinforce-ment area ratio,UHPC tensile strength and different reinforcement configuration on the flexural performance of UH-PC beams are studied. The effects of parameters on the yield load, peak load, deflection, failure mode of UHPC beams is analyzed. The results show that with the increase of reinforcement ratio, the stiffness, yield load, peak load and corresponding deflection of pure reinforced UHPC beams are improved. With the increase of the area ratio of FRP bars, the peak load and the deflection of the peak load of UHPC hybrid reinforced beams increase accordingly, resulting in the deterioration of the deformation resistance of UHPC hybrid reinforced beams. With the increase of UHPC tensile strength, the cracking load, yield load and peak load of UHPC beams increase, the corresponding de-flection decreases. The yield load and peak load of UHPC hybrid reinforced beam with double-layer arrangement are smaller than those of single-layer arrangement. The research provides a reference for the engineering applica-tion of FRP-steel hybrid reinforced UHPC structure.
