Study on Suitable Habitat Selection for Cyanopica cyanus and Pica pica in Changchun City
Urbanization was one of the major threats to urban biodiversity, and birds were often used as the important indi-cator species to quantify the health of urban ecosystems.Pica pica and Cyanopica cyanus were common urban birds, but there were few studies on their selection and utilization of urban habitats. The distribution and population quantity of Cyan-opica cyanus and Pica pica in Changchun City were investigated by sampling site method.Based on Sentinel-2A image da-ta,the characteristic parameters of habitat factors of each sampling site were extracted, and the key factors affecting the se-lection of suitable habitat were analyzed. The results showed that there were differences in their distributions in different habitats. That was related to the area proportion of different habitats. The quantity of Cyanopica cyanus was significantly positively correlated with the area of forest land, water area and grassland, and that was negatively correlated with the con-struction area. The quantity of Pica pica was significantly positively correlated with the area of forest land and water area. The principal component analysis method was used to determine the suitable habitat selection model of Cyanopica cyanus(Mi)and Pica pica(Mj)based on nine habitat indicators:Mi=1.065S1+0.837S2+1.231S3-1.412S4-0.985S5-0.336S6+0.140S7+0.211S8+0.249S9,Mj=0.543S1+0.733S2+1.174S3-1.011S4+0.311S5-0.402S6-0.117S7-0.325S8+0.094S9.It was determined that they were suitable to live in urban environments with the water area accounting for more than 5%and the forest area accounting for more than 30%.That had guiding significance for formulating reasona-ble and effective bird protection and attraction measures according to habitat conditions in the process of urban construction.
