Cypripedium macranthos had become a rare and endangered plant in Northeast China due to over-harvesting.The research status of its geographical distribution,ecological characteristics,endangered causes and reproduction methods was summarized in this paper.The problems in the research were analyzed.The research prospects and protection strategies were put forward.
