Research on the Optimization of Tourism Spatial Structure in Northeast Asia Based on Point-axis Theory
Northeast Asia, including the entire territory of the DPRK,South Korea,Japan and Mongolia,as well as the three provinces in Northeast China and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, and the two federal administrative areas of the Far East and Siberia in Russia,is an important part of global economy.Based on the point-axis theory, this paper analyzes the optimized layout of tourism spatial structure in Northeast Asia from such perspectives as tourism resources, urban layout, natural geographical environment, population size, transportation routes and regional relations. In order to promote tourism cooperation among countries in Northeast Asia,Northeast Asia should be supported by 9 first-level tourism cores,26 second-level tourism centers and 78 third-level tourism nodes in the future and form an optimized layout mode of tourism spatial structure in Northeast Asia through a 4-vertical and 2-horizontal railway transportation network system. Then we will fully develop six Northeast Asian tourism groups to promote tourism cooperation in Northeast Asia. The optimization of tourism spatial structure in Northeast Asia is conducive to the sustainable development of regional economy.
