Research on the Construction of Border Ports and Regional Economic Integration in Northeast China under the Belt and Road Initiative
The Belt and Road Initiative has been put forward for more than 10 years.Land ports are an important window of China's opening-up,and border ports in Northeast China have a long history, whose construction is theoretically supported by economic globalization, regional economic integration, and sub-regional cooperation to meet the actual development needs of Northeast Asian countries and changes in the international situation, and the construction of border ports has vigorously promoted economic and trade cooperation, economic exchanges, and political coordination among countries in the region, but there are still such problems as single source of funds, backward infrastructure and indefinite function positioning in port construction. In this regard, all regions should expand the financial systems, formulate regional plans, and establish intergovernmental coordination mechanisms to promote the smooth progress of the Belt and Road Initiative and contribute to economic development of the countries and regions involved in the BRI.
