The Path and Enlightenment of Improving Cultural Literacy Education in Higher Vocational English Classrooms
Promoting fine traditional Chinese culture and absorbing excellent western culture is not only an important task of higher vocational English classrooms,but also an important way to strengthen students'cultural literacy.It is necessary and feasible to improve cultural literacy education in higher vocational English class-rooms.In terms of its specific path,teachers should pay attention to cultural differences in vocabulary teaching and strengthen cultural literacy education in combination with cultural context.In terms of grammar teaching,stu-dents are guided to carry out in different cultural habits,and cultivate cultural thinking quality in combination with cultural causes.In the teaching of reading,debates and seminars are used to stimulate students'cultural un-derstanding and establish cultural self-confidence.In short,it is very important to create a cultural communica-tion context in higher vocational English teaching,and it is the key to adhere to the correct cultural values,so that students can not only adhere to the cultural tolerance mentality in the cross-cultural communication between Chi-na and the West,but also strengthen their cultural self-confidence,improve their cultural literacy,and use the higher vocational English classroom as a window to achieve the all-round development of students.
