A Corpus-Based Analysis of Chinese Learners'Adjective Reduplication Errors and Teaching Strategies
Based on the theory of adjective reduplication in modern Chinese noumenon,error analysis theo-ry and interlanguage theory,and the retrieval system of interlanguage corpus in the"HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus"of Beijing Language and Culture University,this paper analyzes the types and causes of errors in adjec-tive reduplication.It is found that The overlapping of adjectives encompasses four types of error patterns:overlap-ping when it should not be,not overlapping when it should be,the absence of"de"after the overlapping of adjec-tives,and improper collocations,etc.The causes of these errors mainly lie in several aspects such as negative transfer from the native language,overgeneralization of the target language,the influence of learning strategies,and the impact of classroom teaching methods.In response to errors,teaching strategies for adjective reduplica-tion are proposed.
