Geographical Core Literacy for the Solution of the Current Difficulties in Geography Teaching
At present,geography teaching in middle schools is faced with many teaching difficulties,such as students generally think that the content of regional geography knowledge is too complicated,and the content of physical geography knowledge is difficult to understand.The root of these problems lies in the students'insuffi-cient understanding and mastery of the thinking methods of geography.The core literacy of geography includes man-land coordination,comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and geographical practice,and emphasizes the cultivation of students'basic cognitive methods and thinking modes of geography.The cognitive method and thinking mode of geography are the key to solve the dilemma of geography learning.Among them,regional cog-nition pays attention to understanding the"regional structure connection",which helps to solve the problems of"too complicated regional geography content"and"low efficiency of regional geography learning".Comprehen-sive thinking literacy emphasizes the cultivation of"space-time comprehensive thinking",which is helpful to overcome the dilemma of"hard to understand physical geography knowledge";geography practice emphasizes learning off-campus or in a virtual environment and helps to solve the dilemma that students lack the ability to an-alyze and solve real geography problems.
