Research on the Application of"Reading Circles"in English Reading Class of Junior High School under Blended Learning
Blended learning is a teaching method that combines online and offline teaching.And"reading circles"is a new English reading teaching method that differs from the traditional methods.This study takes the discourse"Water Talks"in the Unit 5 of the seventh grade English textbook of Shanghai Educational Publishing House as an example,and explores the application of"reading circles"in English reading class of junior high school based on blended learning through three stages:preparation,in-class practice,and post-class expansion.It has been found that the application of"reading circles"plays an important role and has reference significance in stimulating students'subjective initiative in English learning,improving their core English literacy,developing their logical thinking ability,and innovating traditional English reading teaching methods.
