概念隐喻理论认为隐喻是一个概念向另一概念的映射,是一种思维方式和认知手段.本研究以概念隐喻理论为理论框架,对王毅外长在第77届联合国大会一般性辩论上的演讲进行系统的分析.研究发现,演讲语篇中交替使用了方位隐喻、本体隐喻及结构隐喻.概念隐喻有益于演讲内容的有效传播,能帮助听众更深刻地理解演讲语篇的丰富内涵.
Abstract
Conceptual Metaphor Theory(CMT)regards metaphor as the mapping of a concept to another concept and it is an approach of thinking and cognition.The research takes CMT as the theoretical framework and systematically analyzes the metaphors used in the speech delivered by Wang Yi,the Foreign Minister,at the General Debate of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.The study discovers that orientation-al metaphors,ontological metaphors and structural metaphors are used alternately in the speech.They promote the effective delivery of the speech and the profound understanding of the audience.
