As a measuring instrument in oil trade,the accuracy of horizontal metal can is very important.This paper describes the measurement principles of geometric measurement method and capacity comparison method,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of using various standards according to the measurement complexity,automation degree,influencing factors and so on,and summarizes the research results,which provides a reference for the capaci-ty verification method.
