The effect of emulsifiers on the particle size and distribution of vinyl chloride micro suspension polymerization latex
The method of synthesizing polyvinyl chloride latex through micro suspension polymeri-zation using hexadecanol(CAL)and sodium dodecyl sulfate(SLS)as emulsifiers was introduced.Using Box Behnken design software,relevant experiments were designed.The effect of the ratio of CAL and SLS on the average particle size(APS)and particle size distribution(PSD)of polyvinyl chloride latex was studied,showing that the emulsifier ratio(CAL/SLS)was the most important factor affecting APS and PSD.
