The process of Yunnan Tianye Chemical Co.,Ltd.using air instead of nitrogen gas to transport calcium carbide dust was introduced.Base on water vapor pressure difference at different temper-atures in the air,the possibility of calcium carbide dust transportation by air was verified through theoreti-cal calculations,and an air rotary dehumidification unit was independently designed.After the air was de-hydrated by the rotary dehumidification unit,the dry air met the safety control requirements for transpor-ting calcium carbide dust.Compared with traditional nitrogen conveying equipment,this system was sim-ple to operate and maintenance,with lower operating costs.
