A Study on the Spatial-temporal Evolution and the Influencing Factors of Tourism Eco-efficiency in the Silk Road Economic Belt
Taking nine provinces along the Silk Road Economic Belt as the research objects, the tourism eco-efficiency and total factor productivity of the survey region are evaluated and analyzed using the super-efficiency SBM model of non-expected output and the ML index.Meanwhile, the characteristics of the spatial distribution of tourism eco-efficiency values are examined using ArcGIS's spatial analysis approach, and the driving reasons of tourism eco-efficiency are also investigated using a geo-detector.The findings indicate that:The tourism eco-efficiency of the Silk Road Economic Belt is on an upward trend generally, and pure technological efficiency contributes the most to the comprehensive efficiency; The overall ML index is more than 1,with a distribution pattern of high in the middle and low on both sides; The characteristics of the spatial differentiation of tourism eco-efficiency are evident, with considerable disparities between the four southwestern provinces and the five northwestern provinces. There are considerable variances in the factors influencing tourism eco-efficiency along the Silk Road Economic Belt.Based on the research results, the following suggestions are put forward:Emphasize regional differences and strengthen cooperation among provinces;Promote the awareness of ecological civilization and advocate the green tourism development mode with low-carbon and environmental protection;Accelerate the structural upgrade of the tourism industry to achieve a rational allocation of resources; And improve cultural self-confidence and develop diversified cultural tourism routes.
