Rheumatoid arthritis belongs to the category of bi syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine,and its occurrence,development and prognosis are closely related to collateral diseases.By analyzing the pathological state of RA microangiogenesis,the physiological characteristics of collaterals and the pathological characteristics of collateral diseases,the paper discusses the disease and views collaterals as the locations where pathogens hide,develop,invade and block,deeming collateral diseases as the pathological basis of RA,collateral deficiency as its fundamental pathogenesis,and the invasion of collaterals by cold-dampness due to wind as the key to its pathogenesis.Based on the theories of collateral diseases and wind herbs,this paper aims to recognize the role of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction in the treatment of RA from the perspective of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction as a wind-treating agent,proposing that wind medicines be applied timely to treat collateral stagnation in the early stage of RA,to treat collateral stasis and obstruction so as to invigorate the spleen and resolve blood stasis in its middle stage,and to treat collateral deficiency by invigorating the kidney in its late stage.This paper discusses the combination principle of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction with wind herbs and other drugs in the different stages of RA,so as to enrich the compatibility theory of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction,expand the clinical guiding significance of Duhuo Jisheng Decoction,and provide a reference for its clinical application.
